Artist living with Down Syndrome based in Alberta, Canada.

Artist statement:

Adam Malik creates abstract works using a variety of mediums, including watercolor, coloured pencils and wax crayons. His drawings explore colour and repetitive marks, featuring patterns of spirals layered over washes of color. Each composition is constructed in a circular manner by periodically rotating the page, resulting in works with no defined top or bottom. This approach results in meditative pieces that capture moods, seasons, and the play between light and dark.
